Dinner II


Join us for our second dinner at The Barn at Lone Oaks Farm, where we’ll welcome back chef Aaron Holt for a four-course culinary event focused on fall flavors. Named the Iowa Restaurant Association’s 2018 Chef of the Year, Aaron has years of experience in the kitchen, most recently at RoCA as executive chef. Aaron runs Doolittle Farm, an organic farm growing seasonal fruits, vegetables, micro greens, and edible flowers in Story City, Iowa, and hopes to one day host dinners in his own 1905 farmhouse.

Pre-Course: local Iowa cheese and charcuterie / honey / jam / fruit and veggie crudités / nuts / olives (served family-style)

Starter Course: seared scallop / crispy pork belly / fall squash risotto / mushroom / cranberry / red pepper

Main Course: braised Iowa beef short ribs / herbed polenta / port wine demi glaze / crispy shallots / baby carrots

Dessert Course: vanilla bean crème brûlée / salted caramel / apples
